The Fashion Awards 2021 presented by TikTok took place on Monday 29th November at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, London.
This year’s event included accolades including Designer of the Year and the BFC Foundation Award. The Fashion Awards also honoured and celebrated Leaders of Change; the designers, brands, creatives and individuals who created positive change within the fashion industry this past year, under five categories: Environment, People and Creativity. The Fashion Awards was be hosted by Emmy, Tony and Grammy Award-winning, and Golden Globe-nominated actor, singer, director, composer, and playwright Billy Porter. With more than 30 years in the business, Porter has become one of the most recognisable entertainers in the industry. Whether gracing the red carpet in couture masterpieces, giving iconic performances on Broadway, or speaking up for the black LGBTQ+ community, Porter is a style icon who uses fashion as a means of self-expression and communication.
Brit Award winning British singer/songwriter Griff performed live from the red carpet. Griff’s performance launched the first ever Red-Carpet LIVESTREAM on the official @TheFashionAwards TikTok account to eager viewers from around the world. 2021 has been a breakthrough year for the young artist and self-taught producer.
As part of The Fashion Awards 2021, we have created an immersive experience on Roblox which will offer fashion fans from all over the world the opportunity to be part of its iconic annual event that gathers some of the most influential fashion insiders, designers, innovators and celebrities. The experience instantly transports visitors into the iconic Royal Albert Hall where they can enjoy one of the world’s biggest celebrations of fashion.
The event expanded its global reach with a new creative approach and goals for the future, while celebrating this year’s leaders who are changing the industry, as well as fashion’s global impact and its role at the intersection of culture.
We have a duty to support the younger generation, keep them inspired and motivate them to know that there is a future in creativity. The Fashion Awards is a fundraiser for the BFC Foundation and focuses on celebrating excellence in the fashion industry and supporting the future pipeline of creative talent.
