The British Fashion council invites over 2000 members from across the global fashion community to be a part of the voting panel for The Fashion Awards. This panel determines the nominees and winners of The Fashion Awards 2019.

The Fashion Awards recognise and celebrate creativity and innovation in fashion. The annual celebration shines a spotlight on exceptional individuals and businesses that have made a significant contribution to the global fashion community in the past year.

The 2019 ceremony will be held on 2nd December at the Royal Albert Hall, London.

New for this year, The Fashion Awards have a two-stage voting system. This system is designed to encourage all voters to have their say.

The first-round voting decides an initial long list of 10 names per category to be voted upon in the second round. First round voting opened on Thursday 9th May and will close on Monday 8th July. The second-round voting will open on Monday 2nd of September and will remain open until Friday 4th October. The second round of voting will decide the final shortlist of the five nominees and winners who will be celebrated on the night.

The Fashion Awards are a celebration of British and international talent and are the primary fundraiser for the BFC talent programmes, supporting the future pipeline of creative talent.

London is globally recognised for its innovative and creative designers and businesses. The Fashion Awards pay homage to their incredible success, while celebrating international brands who play a vital role in our industry’s culture and reputation.

Following on from the successful launch at The Fashion Awards 2018, the NEWWAVE: Creatives category returns for a second year to celebrate the wide spectrum of next generation talent working in the fashion industry, and to shine a spotlight on the next generation of creatives that help designers bring their vision to life. These nominees will not receive an Award on the night but will be celebrated as part of the show.
