Bogdan “Chilldays” Plakov is a Bulgarian artist, living and working in Milan. He enters the world of photography by shooting his friends skateboarding and everything else that surrounds his teenage years (road trips, parties, everyday life). Shortly after moving to Milan he starts documenting rap concerts, which leads him to meet people from the scene and eventually present the opportunity to create images for the social platforms of the Stüssy, Carhartt & Edwin stores in the city. In a year's time he builds a portfolio that he hands to Virgil Abloh (while at a Lil Yachty concert) who gives him a chance to shoot an editorial for Off-White™ . Since 2016 Bogdan is part of the company team and has worked on and shot numerous projects for the brand. Charlotte James is a Creative Director living and working from her hometown Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales. Since 2014 Charlotte has been focused on making work that is socially engaged with community participation. She is interested in exploring different avenues in order to collaborate with communities through fashion, film, creative workshops for youth and casting. Her upbringing and the people she grew up around have had a massive influence upon her work. In homage to her youth, a large portion of her work has been made in her hometown, featuring family, friends and locals to the area. "Its called ffasiwn" made in collaboration with photographer Clémentine Schneidermann and youth Organisations in Wales was exhibited at The Martin Parr Foundation in 2018. The work received coverage from The New Yorker, Vogue and The Guardian. James and Schneidermann under the name Bleakfabulous went onto publish “ffasiwn” Magazine with Martin Parr.

He thinks of his films as a ‘a set of games played on thinner and thinner ice, until we believe we can walk on water.’ Van Zyl’s recent installation for the Hayward Gallery, Looners, was filmed in the immense ruins of Hollywood film sets in the Atlas Mountains with a gang of masked avatars and latex inflatables caught in a cyclical death drive. He is currently working on a major new film project thinking through rat kings, dancing manias and the politics of pleasure.

The craft of something new is integral, producing one-off creations insures each project starts with a bespoke approach. With a background in Fine Art informing his approach to work. Art is a great source of inspiration, both past and present, also industrial design, be it a 17th century hand carved block of wood, through to a park bench. Always aiming not to restrict both his pool of references, and the limits of imagination, to the realms of one particular field or discipline. A notable project was creating a life-size arch underneath a vault at Waterloo station. It was labour intensive and monotonous. However the obsession and attention to the small details, applied to a large scale structure created something truly special.

When diagnosed HIV positive and falling into depression and mental health issues, the only way to survive was to create images. To embody his thoughts, Pierre started to style as a way of expression - but it was not enough. With the strong support of close photographers friends, he decided to style onto himself. Behind shapes and masks, within a world of total annihilation of his own self, he has tried to push the boundaries of presence and absence in order to reappropriate a sense of identity. He calls his world peasantism: a world of unknown individuals who are forced to be lost into the absurd wasteland of our civilisation without any hope or belief for themselves or the world.

She coined the term ‘Humane Afrofuturism’ as an analysis of the science-fiction alienating Black existence into a practice of more humane and equal perspective of how we visualise black bodies and blackness. Dillon’s research-based practice frequently incorporates the quotidien black experience and embedded assumptions concerning gender and racial inequalities being refracted through her work.

Vito Fernicola – b. Napoli – based in Paris. Moved to Paris five years ago, where he currently lives and works. His inclination towards symbolic storytelling and refusal of spectacularization trace back to Naples. Photography is a means to testify and give life to a grammar of mis-en-scene in methodical, rational or even ritual ways. Movement is intensely conveyed and different generations are included in the narration. Collecting miscellaneous found objects and materials, Farr uses wire as one would use a drawn line: to make connections and construct a narrative between his gathered items. He combines flowers with debris and detritus to add paint strokes of colour to his sculptural wire-drawings. When diagnosed HIV positive and falling into depression and mental health issues, the only way to survive was to create images. To embody his thoughts, Pierre started to style as a way of expression - but it was not enough. With the strong support of close photographers friends, he decided to style onto himself. Behind shapes and masks, within a world of total annihilation of his own self, he has tried to push the boundaries of presence and absence in order to reappropriate a sense of identity. He calls his world peasantism: a world of unknown individuals who are forced to be lost into the absurd wasteland of our civilisation without any hope or belief for themselves or the world.

Dillon’s research-based practice frequently incorporates the quotidien black experience and embedded assumptions concerning gender and racial inequalities being refracted through her work.

Doherty’s practise embraces multiple art disciplines, including drawing, painting and print. His work is led by reflecting on his environments; the people around him, their relationships and shared experience. Other common themes in his work are nature, community and ritual. Doherty’s first solo show, ‘Gratitude Blooms’ was exhibited at SHOWstudio earlier this year and was the resulting body of work from a residency in Goa. Featuring paintings of flowers, petals and studies of the human figure, the show was centred around themes of ritual celebration and performative acts of gratitude. Vito Fernicola – b. Napoli – based in Paris. Moved to Paris five years ago, where he currently lives and works. His inclination towards symbolic storytelling and refusal of spectacularization trace back to Naples. In his work the relationship between subject and space is never accidental and it assumes its own structural character. Photography is a means to testify and give life to a grammar of mis-en-scene in methodical, rational or even ritual ways. Movement is intensely conveyed and different generations are included in the narration. Fernicola’s model goes beyond an idle aesthetic representation to unveil a more intimate essence, strictly intertwined with the surrounding territory. Spaces are rewritten, reality and its fringes are moulded, a momentum is imprinted on action and narration can take place.

London-based multidisciplinary artist William Farr's work embodies the spontaneous and organic nature in which it is created. Collecting miscellaneous found objects and materials, Farr uses wire as one would use a drawn line: to make connections and construct a narrative between his gathered items. He combines flowers with debris and detritus to add paint strokes of colour to his sculptural wire-drawings. The work crosses between the printed image, permanent sculptures temporary installation and video, each element of his practise further explaining the themes around simulated reality, inter-dimensional multiverses and a single natural conscious creating a fractured reality.

He has a documentary around toxic chemicals in fashion and its effects on the human body, which will be released in mid October. He also serves as an ambassador for various brands concerning the theme of environmentalism, including for Timberland and their most recent Nature Needs Heroes campaign.
