We are thrilled to announce that the acclaimed artist, photographer and filmmaker Tyler Mitchell, will receive the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator at The Fashion Awards 2024 presented by Pandora (TFA), taking place on Monday 2nd December at Royal Albert Hall, London. TFA, organised by the BFC, is the primary fundraiser for the BFC Foundation and celebrates the role of fashion at the intersection of culture and entertainment, spotlighting creative talent and telling the stories of the year in fashion through the lens of purpose, excellence, and creativity. Mitchell will be honoured for his incredible contribution to fashion, photography and culture.
Mitchell’s work introduces new narratives about beauty and desire, embracing history and the future. His images envision representations of life that emphasise play, empowerment, and self-determination. Mitchell’s work is held in numerous private and public collections, including The Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the National Portrait Gallery, London and has participated in solo and group exhibitions in leading galleries worldwide including Wish This Was Real (currently on view at C/O Berlin, Germany) and Idyllic Space (currently on view at the High Museum of Art, Atlanta). Mitchell’s photography has been widely published in magazines, including AnOther Magazine, Dazed, GQ, i-D, Interview Magazine, M Le Monde, Vanity Fair, Vogue UK, Vogue US, W Magazine and WSJ. He has collaborated commercially with prominent brands such as Ferragamo, Gucci, JW Anderson, Loewe, Louis Vuitton and Wales Bonner. Mitchell was also part of the first ever NEW WAVE: Creatives cohort at The Fashion Awards in 2018.

Their incredible body of work has left an indelible mark on the entire industry.
