British Style Award 2011

The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced that it will once again be looking to the public to decide on the winner of the British Style Award brought to you by Vodafone at this year’s British Fashion Awards. The award, which was won by Alexa Chung in 2010, is presented to the individual who most embodies the spirit of London and is an international ambassador for London as a leading creative fashion capital.

The British Style Award is based on the success of the London 25 Award, introduced in 2009 as part of the BFC’s 25th anniversary celebrations and awarded to Kate Moss. A list of nominees including Adele, Daisy Lowe, Florence Welch, Lara Stone, Stella McCartney and Tilda Swinton was compiled by a panel of key opinion formers for this year’s award.

Voting is open from 27th October until 9th November 2011 and the winner will be announced at the awards ceremony on the 28th November. Members of the public are invited to vote through the British Fashion Awards website and voters will be entered into a prize draw to win two tickets to attend the BFA awards ceremony.

The British Fashion Awards recognise the most influential people in fashion today and will celebrate the reputation and development of British fashion through awards such as Designer of the Year, Designer Brand, Accessory Designer, Menswear Designer and three Emerging Talent Award’s which recognise designers as they establish their emerging fashion businesses. Other awards that will be presented on the night include Outstanding Achievement in Fashion, Model and the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator.
